Training leads to opportunities - a student's story

Fitness instructor and ballet teacher, Terrie Wayside (44), is passionate about the dance industry. Her plan is to help improve the ongoing professional development needed in this changing and evolving industry - a plan that is now achievable thanks to Terrie completing a training and assessment qualification.

Terrie really enjoyed her training in a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with the Insight Foundation's AIEBS Australian Institute of Ethical Business Studies and she gained a lot from the experience.

"The course is very different from the way other training organisations would deliver it," she said. "The training offers a more holistic approach that involves feeling into your heart and integrating this with practical theory."

"The course is well structured with each unit laying the foundation for the next. I was given plenty of opportunities to learn in many different ways and I appreciated the time and effort that was given to achieve this.

"I now have a thorough understanding on how to teach others professionally. The course extensively covers different learning styles and it was great to understand what is needed to assist others to achieve their learning goals.

"I also enjoyed learning about the inclusively of involving all people in learning and being shown how you can achieve this - it is a great system in that everyone gets the opportunity to learn. I found I could use this knowledge to carry over to many other aspects of my life.

"This course is a basic requirement for anyone wanting to teach adults in Australia."

"One day I will assist other dancers by running professional development courses for adults wanting to work with children. The courses will focus on teaching children (aged three to nine years) to incorporate creative movement and other techniques so they can discover how their own body moves. This will create future dancers that move with artistry, understanding that the movement comes from within them.

Terrie found her facilitator, Lisa Danza, incredibly supportive, encouraging and engaging.

"I enjoyed Lisa's flexibility and encouragement," she said. "When I felt stuck and unfocused, she had a great way of helping me to understand by bringing the situation back to my own personal life - this makes it relevant and therefore more interesting and engaging.

"The course material was varied with computer-simulated learning and hard copy reading material, and the learning programs involved face to face sessions and teleconference classes. There was a lot of variety to help all learning styles.

"Lisa was also very flexible with her delivery and found ways to make it work for all participants. I really appreciated her understanding and patience, especially in the beginning of the course when the material was very foreign to me and it had been some time since completing a formal qualification."

Life in balance with Cosmosis -
a student’s story

Fifty-one-year old Arlene Cohen Miller uses Cosmosis to balance her life as a commercial lawyer, business proprietor, mother, wife, healer and yogi.

Arlene’s life can be hectic. As a commercial lawyer for 26 years, she helps businesses collect money due to them for services rendered or merchandise delivered. Her law firm receives claims or cases from collection agencies and law firms all over the world. She is licensed to practice in three states including Colorado, Ohio and Kentucky.

She has been married to John her husband and law partner for ten years and has a 21 year old son who attends the University of Wyoming in Western USA.

Arlene says that Cosmosis helps her with every aspect of her life and she has become her own psychologist.

“At work, I frequently deal with debtors who are upset and project their anger and fear at me,” she said. “I also deal with a never-ending stream of legal tasks to complete, phone calls to make or answer and emails to respond to or send.

“My friends, family and others trigger me by mirroring my issues back at me.

“In each of these situations, I use Cosmosis to be my own healer and therapist, which is very self empowering.”

Arlene runs the Cosmosis process every day before she attends her yoga class and at night before she goes to sleep.

“I make sure that it is a habit to practice on myself,” she says. “I am more focused continually if I am aligned and centered.

“It's a very straightforward process and is easy to learn and integrate into your life.

“It’s such a blessing to have the gift of Cosmosis in my life.”

Arlene joined the Cosmosis Academy (previously known as the Violet Earth Academy), a faculty of the Insight Foundation, more than four years ago because it was in alignment to what she knows as her truth.

She believes the organisation is unique from others because it has very high standards for clarity and purity.

“You are required to do daily work assignments in protection and clearing and are required to walk the talk, which means that you integrate what you learn,” she says.

“Early in the training you gain an understanding of the importance of not floating off on a spiritual high.

Arlene lives in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, USA, with her husband and law partner.

IF aids security guard to adopt new approach - a student’s story

Born in Victoria, Australia, Nigel Maloney (33) loves working as a security guard/crowd controller in a new way thanks to IF.

Nigel commenced his career in this field more than three years ago because he likes working with people and wanted to give back to the community.

He integrates Cosmosis, a unique tool founded by the Cosmosis Academy (previously known as the Violet Earth Academy) a faculty of the Insight Foundation, by using it in his workplace when he feels triggered or has an issue that needs to be cleared.

“I am able to harmonize conflict at work by using the Cosmosis process when I feel triggered by someone,” he said.

“When I am around someone who is aggressive and projects his or her anger at me, I make it my choice not to buy into this. This helps to diffuse their anger and hostility.”

Nigel has used Cosmosis for many years because it has many benefits.

“Cosmosis is a cutting-edge process that is easy to use and allows you to feel,” he says. “You become more present and love yourself for who you are. It is also great because you appreciate and love other people for who they are too.”

“When using this process you have the opportunity to own your issues and heal yourself.”

Nigel embraced the teachings at the Insight Foundation because he believes it is really down to earth.

“The people who run the foundation are real people,” he says. “They have overcome their own obstacles and are willing to share their experiences in a very grounded way.”

Nigel has owned and managed his own security business for 18 months, and has recently moved, to Perth, Australia, in order to open a new security business called Ashtar Security International.

IF helps Marguerite with depression - a student story

After giving birth to a beautiful and healthy son, thirty-eight year old Marguerite Link Carney from New Zealand experienced severe postnatal depression, which led her on a downward spiral before joining the Cosmosis Academy (previously known as the Violet Earth Academy), a faculty of the Insight Foundation.

Marguerite was relieved when she started working with the Academy. She had been experiencing depression for a year and had no idea how she would pull out of it.

As a midwife, she had judged herself and felt she ‘knew’ all about what was going on and ‘should’ be able to handle it and that it couldn't possibly be depression.

“When I had postnatal depression it was a very difficult time for me,” she said.

“I judged my depression quite a bit and I was in major denial of my own grappling and weakening grasp on sanity. With judgment, with denial and avoidance, with much fear of what admitting it would mean, and sadness of what it meant I was missing.

“Deep down I really didn’t think I would live through it and I was scared that I would become too sick to look after my son.

“When I joined the Academy, it was the first time in a while where I felt safe and able to move forward on my path.

“I began to feel hope in my life. I felt like my life was saved.”

Marguerite has used Cosmosis, a technique founded by the Academy for one year.

She believes Cosmosis allows her to access her highest potential at any moment she chooses to run the process.

“Each moment that I choose to connect with the Cosmosis process, I am opening to a mechanism of accessing the highest possible choice as well as serving to the best of my ability,” she said.

Marguerite uses Cosmosis on a daily basis to work through any issues she may have.

"Anytime I am feeling triggered or anytime I can remember, I run the process to clear anything that may need transmuting," she said.

"If my son is going into a tantrum I run the process and feel it working to strengthen my inner love and I can easily respond to the situation with loving and more fortified, healthy boundaries.

"Because I am transmuting my part of it, he is much faster and more gently able to move through his expression. He is a very clear reflection for me and when I run Cosmosis and don’t let things like fear build up so much he benefits greatly as well."

Marguerite believes the Insight Foundation is different from other organisations because it holds a very high level of integrity.

"I feel a great sense of walking the talk with this organisation," she said.

“Facilitators have been using the processes successfully for many years.

Students within the group develop a high level of self-responsibility and are accountable for their own growth.

“No power is ever taken away from a person or allowed to be given over to another person. Therefore the truth is encouraged to grow within each person in the group.”

Dreams come true - A student’s story

A retreat centre in Loveland, Colorado, USA is a dream come true for fifty-eight year old retired elementary education teacher Linda Lawson.

Her new retreat centre is on a five acres overlooking privately owned open space. It officially opened for classes in July 2007.

Since retiring, Linda facilitates personal and spiritual growth workshops with adults and is developing new courses for teachers and other professionals.

Linda retired three years ago in order to pursue her dream to support teachers to teach with the head and the heart by offering personal and spiritual growth workshops in a relaxing environment in nature.

“Educators impact on our children as much or more than we do as parents,” she said. “It’s important we offer them encouragement, appreciation and assistance. Our future is in their hands.”

She previously taught children in grades four to six and student teachers. She has a Master's degree in multicultural education and she has developed education courses in the continuing education department at a university.

The Insight Foundation has helped Linda to manifest her long held dream of owning and care-taking a retreat centre. Many times she wanted to give up but instead ran the process on the fears that presented as she searched for the location she envisioned.

"I am so much stronger since joining the foundation," she said. “I feel like a different person living a different life. I know what I want and I am prepared to go after it. I experience that my potential is magnified as I increase my willingness to clear old limiting fears.

“I would attract something I wanted, have it right in front of me and walk away from it, due to some fear unconsciously blocking my ability to move forward.”

Linda uses Cosmosis, a process founded by the Cosmosis Academy (previously known as the Violet Earth Academy), a faculty of the Insight Foundation, to assist her to release the emotional and psychological baggage which prevent her from achieving her dreams.

"The benefit of Cosmosis is that I take full responsibility for what I have created due to my thoughts and feelings," she said.

"I feel like I am more present in the moment, more willing to be grounded and I listen more for guidance from within. I have more energy because it is no longer blocked and hidden somewhere in my body.

"I co-create my life, aligning with divine will, as I wish it to be rather than being victim to the force of someone else's will and desire for me."

Linda believes that if you are over your head-trips and emotional dramas, ready to fully experience life and willing to re-create your life then the Cosmosis is for you.
